WE READ THE EUROPEAN HEALTH INSURANCE CARD 		 
 
The European Health Insurance Card is handed out in more than 20 nations to the insured.
The NETC@RDS project experiments with the facilitation of cross border access to healthcare.
For this purpose the reading workstation EHIC-OCR has been developed.
Manual data capture from the eye readable card can be replaced by optical reading (OCR).

QualitySoft has developed the reading workstation in collaboration with ZI, Berlin.

The OCR is powered by KADMOS OCR Engine from re Recognition GmbH.
